Firstly I was very disappointed with this film. I understand sequels have a hard time holding up to the first film, but I had hope. The first film was terrific, with a fantastic cast, but it had a great storyline. It was the best mystery film with a touch of comedy I have seen in a while.

I had hope for how the first film did, but after seeing the trailer, I knew immediately that this film was not for me. I still planned on watching it, and I did. The film was easy to watch, but the character’s storylines and the main overall plot of the movie were a little complicated for me to watch. I found myself wanting to skip 10 seconds or even more minutes to fast-forward the story. I enjoyed the characters’ setup of Benoit Blanc and Andi Brand. Their storyline and twists were great, and it was the best part of the whole movie. That twist brought me back to the film with new eyes, which caused me to start to enjoy the movie. It made me look back into the film’s first part to pay more attention to their characters.

I know they have plans for a third movie in the Knives Out Mystery series, and I hope they pay only some of their attention to making the film look great with the overtop wardrobe (even though most of their outfits were STUNNING in this film) or the scenery and sets for the scenes. But give more to what makes a movie great, the story/plot.

Overall I don’t have much to say about this movie but that it wasn’t to my liking, but I did enjoy most of it. The first film was just so great for me that this film had a hard time holding up to it. You should still see it to get your own opinion on the film, and I hope you enjoy it!
